Production Supervisor

Butterball, LLC is a leading manufacturer of turkey products, and we're seeking a skilled Production Supervisor to join our team in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina.
Job Summary:The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of production staff, ensuring that manufacturing processes are efficient, safe, and compliant with regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise production team members, providing guidance, training, and feedback to optimize performance.
- Ensure adherence to manufacturing protocols, product specifications, quality guidelines, and safety standards.
- Conduct routine scanning of the department to identify and solve problems or escalate as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic and paper-based records of production data.
- Update daily and weekly department reports, including production reports, attendance reports, and staffing reports.
- Participate in investigations, such as accidents and employee complaints.
- Actively participate in department and facility meetings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly skilled at motivating employees to accomplish objectives.
- Knowledge of USDA regulations, HACCP, SOP, and SSOP, or ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly.
- Familiar with operations metrics, such as yields, lbs./birds per man hours, line speeds, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills at both the strategic and functional level.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Poultry, Animal or Food Science, or related field preferred.
3-5 years' experience in a leadership role or successful completion of Butterball's Leadership Apprentice Program.
Experience in poultry/meat food manufacturing helpful.
