Position Summary:
The Tray Pack Team Leader is responsible for guiding and instructing team members in their daily production tasks under the direction of the Production Supervisor. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring equipment functionality and reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns.
- Providing timely feedback to supervisors regarding production issues.
- Coordinating the setup of equipment to ensure on-time production starts.
- Conducting necessary checks and accurately recording measurements.
- Assisting in the training and development of team members to uphold product quality.
- Participating in ergonomic evaluations for new hires and conducting performance assessments.
- Maintaining regular attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Adherence to safety, USDA, and GMP standards.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for following instructions and policies.
- Strong leadership capabilities and teamwork skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of all positions within the production line.
- Physical capability to meet job demands with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of background checks, drug screenings, and pre-employment physicals.
- Proficiency in English; bilingual skills in English/Spanish are advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing for 8 to 10 hours daily.
- Lifting weights up to 50 lbs.
- Engaging in bending, stooping, twisting, and squatting activities.
- Performing repetitive hand tasks requiring tight gripping and grasping.
Working Conditions:
Employees may work in environments that are damp and cold, with exposure to loud machinery and potential chemical fumes.
