Position Summary:
The Tray Pack Team Leader is responsible for guiding and instructing production personnel in their daily tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring equipment functionality and reporting any operational issues or safety concerns.
- Providing timely feedback to supervisors regarding production challenges.
- Coordinating the setup of equipment to ensure efficient line operations.
- Conducting necessary checks and measurements, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Assisting in the training and development of team members to maintain product quality.
- Participating in ergonomic evaluations for new hires and conducting performance assessments.
- Maintaining punctual attendance and adhering to scheduled work hours.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Adherence to safety protocols, USDA regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for following verbal and written instructions.
- Strong leadership qualities and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with all positions on the production line.
- Physical capability to meet job demands with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Minimum age of 18 and legal authorization to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:
Employees in this role should be prepared for:
- Standing for 8 to 10 hours daily.
- Lifting weights up to 50 lbs.
- Engaging in bending, stooping, twisting, and squatting activities.
- Performing repetitive tasks requiring manual dexterity.
Working Conditions:
This position involves working in environments that may be damp and cold, with exposure to loud machinery and various chemicals.
