As a key member of our feedlot operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of accounting tasks related to the receipt of feedlot commodities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply general accounting principles and office procedures to accomplish accounting tasks related to feedlot commodities.
  • Provide receptionist and clerical support for the feedlot office, truck scale, and purchasing department.
  • Operate fuel pump controls for on-site equipment operators and order supplies, files, and data entry.
  • Act as a backup for other office accounting staff in their absence and maintain and update computer applications to include contract and account information.
  • Reconcile system-reported inventory with physical inventory and perform regular recaps of sales contracts to verify accuracy.
  • Communicate with commodity sellers to ensure invoice weights and grades are correct and reconcile accounts and pay for all commodities.
  • Input parts inventory information to keep current accounting of inventory levels and receive inventory from invoices onto the computerized system.
  • Drive the parts pickup to deliver and/or receive parts and other items to and from businesses and Company locations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 6+ months related experience and/or training
  • Computer literacy is required
  • Possess a valid state driver's license
