Nurse Extern II

Job Summary:

The Nurse Extern II is a valuable member of our healthcare team, providing direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hospital experience while receiving a generous hourly compensation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the care of hospitalized patients
  • Perform various direct patient care activities in accordance with Nursing Department policies and procedures
  • Work under the supervision and/or direction of the Registered Nurse

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a nursing program to obtain either an associate degree or bachelor's degree to become a registered nurse
  • Must have completed their first hospital clinical rotation and be in good standing in the nursing program
  • Proficient in basic nursing tasks
  • Provides updated transcript at time of interview and beginning of each semester until graduation
  • Six (6) months experience in patient care preferred
  • AHA BLS required within 2 weeks of employment

Work Type: Per Diem As Needed
