Electrical Technician Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret electrical schematics on new plant inventory.
  • Troubleshoot issues based on electrical test results.
  • Apply electrical understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagrammatic form.
  • Perform basic electrical work including drilling, wiring, and conduit installation.
  • Pull and mount wires, wiring connections, and harnesses.
  • Conduct functional testing of multiple lighting, circuitry, and instrument panels.
  • Install and connect complete AC breaker box and associated wiring to load consumers.
  • Able to work from and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Assess overall quality during and after production of product.
  • Maintain housekeeping and organization of work area.
  • Work as part of a team to achieve a common goal.
  • Follow all workplace safety standards.
  • All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Does not require an electrician license.
  • 1+ years' experience in the electrical field within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret detailed drawings.
