About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team at Grace Lutheran Communities. As a key member of our Information Systems team, you will provide technical support, assistance, and troubleshooting to ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use helpdesk software to answer, monitor, and manage user-submitted tickets
  • Repair and replace non-functioning computer equipment
  • Install new desktop computers and computer-related equipment (printers and other peripherals)
  • Maintain assessment management, including an inventory of all computers, peripheral devices, and licenses
  • Maintain appropriate physical security and control on all assets
  • Create and maintain relevant documentation on projects assigned and completed
  • Communicate with the Information Systems Manager with recommendations for hardware and software needs
  • Participate in after-hours on-call schedule
  • Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 50 pounds
  • Local travel (30%)
  • Must be able to communicate effectively orally and/or in writing with staff, vendors, community
  • Typical office setting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field or Associates degree with equivalent experience
  • 1 year previously help desk or customer service experience
  • Experience in computer hardware and software installation and maintenance preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and analytic thinking skills
  • Follows/adheres to organization, federal, and state regulations and guidelines, including Resident/Client rights
  • Maintains neat, well-groomed appearance, adhering to dress code of organization/program
