Process Development Engineer
Job Summary:Ultra Electronics Ocean Systems Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Process Development Engineer to join our team. As a Process Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing process improvements to support new designs in development as well as production and engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop scalable assembly processes that transfer from Engineering to Production
- Analyze current manufacturing processes and develop and implement process improvements in current production and future designs
- Identify and implement cost-effective process improvements, including automation, tooling upgrades, and workflow optimizations
- Provide technical support and guidance to production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and achieve production targets
- Investigate and troubleshoot process failures, quality problems, and develop and implement corrective actions
- Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to implement lean tools and techniques and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend new equipment, tools, and technologies to improve manufacturing processes and capabilities
- Conduct process capability studies, statistical analysis, and gauge repeatability and reproducibility (R&R) studies to ensure process capability
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects related to process improvement, new product introductions, design, and cost reduction initiatives
- 10+ years' relevant experience in electronics manufacturing and process development activities
- Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, preferably in mechanical, electrical, or material science, MS preferred
- Self-motivated with a strong willingness to adapt quickly in a complex, fast-paced manufacturing development environment
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance
