The role of the Senior Civil Engineer encompasses the management and coordination of projects of varying complexity. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing projects to ensure they meet or surpass client expectations.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Crafting detailed project scopes and proposals, and engaging in project interviews.
  • Managing resource allocation to fulfill project requirements.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness.
  • Evaluating and applying standard engineering techniques and procedures to complete technical tasks with ongoing team collaboration.
  • Preparing comprehensive plans, specifications, and engineer's estimates (PS&E).
  • Reviewing field reports generated by team specialists.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to both office and field personnel.
  • Organizing fieldwork and delegating tasks to specialists.
  • Compiling and analyzing complex data, integrating evaluations from team members.
  • Offering technical support and mentorship to project teams.
  • Reviewing engineering outputs produced by colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in civil engineering.
  • Possession of a Nevada Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or eligibility for reciprocity within six months of employment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 18-20 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
  • Experience in civil engineering and project management for transportation and utility projects.
  • Background in marketing, proposal writing, and business development.
  • Familiarity with regulatory agencies and documentation for federally/state funded projects.

Salary Range:

$110,000 to $125,000 annually
