Senior Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Hematology)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Hematology) to join our team at Ascend Clinical. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing routine laboratory testing, maintaining instrumentation, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of test results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine laboratory testing and maintenance of instrumentation according to established protocols
  • Correlate and integrate patient data to interpret test results and report accurate results
  • Use professional judgment and in-depth knowledge of laboratory techniques, scientific principles, and quality control systems
  • Participate in quality assurance programs and in-service education
  • Oversee and review the work of Medical Laboratory Assistants (MLA)

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of accepted clinical laboratory practice and procedures
  • Moderate computer skills and good quality control and instrument maintenance knowledge
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and proficiency in performing detailed tasks thoroughly and completely
  • Clinical Lab Scientist license from the State of California
