Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientist II to join our Assay R&D team in Sunnyvale, CA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing PCR-based viral IVD products, implementing verification and validation SOPs, and writing technical reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop unique PCR-based viral IVD products
  • Implement verification and validation SOPs and write technical reports
  • Perform rigorous analytical studies to demonstrate technical feasibility and design verification studies
  • Handle clinical samples and assist in microbiology work on BSL-1 and BSL2 organisms if needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Molecular biology/Microbiology/Bioinformatics or related field with 2+ years of related work experience OR Master's degree in Molecular biology/Microbiology/Bioinformatics or related field with 1+ years of related work experience
  • Previous experience in GeneXpert platform, IVD assay development, and handling human clinical specimens and performing aseptic microbiology work is a plus
