Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified and mission-oriented Mathematics Educator to join our team at Girls Global Academy. As a Mathematics Educator, you will be responsible for providing instruction in mathematics to high school students and contributing to the development of our academic programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans and unit plans that align with our curriculum standards
  • Use student data to drive instructional decisions and develop assessments that measure student learning
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary curriculum planning and development, including finding ways to connect mathematics to students' local and global perspectives
  • Plan and teach lessons using inquiry-based approaches to teaching and learning
  • Use a wide range of technologies and strategies to differentiate instruction based on readiness, learning difference, and interest

Requirements:

  • Certification in mathematics education or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) with a concentration in mathematics or a related field
  • Secondary classroom experience in an urban context (three years preferred)
  • Solid and demonstrable teaching experience working with a variety of student academic levels
  • Creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning
  • Exhibits the ability to collaboratively work within and across disciplines with a diverse instructional team
  • Experience working with parents and community
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, classroom management, and adaptive teaching
  • Growth-minded, receiving and incorporating feedback from team leaders, executive leadership, and peers
