Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Teacher to join our team at Girls Global Academy. As a Mathematics Teacher, you will be responsible for providing instruction in content areas, including Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans and unit plans that align with GGA curriculum standards.
  • Use student data to drive instructional decisions and develop assessments that measure student learning.
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary curriculum planning and development, including finding ways to connect the content to students' local and global perspectives.

Requirements:

  • Certification in relevant field.
  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) with a concentration in a content area.
  • Secondary classroom experience in an urban context (three years preferred).
  • Solid and demonstrable teaching experience working with a variety of student academic levels.
  • Creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.
  • Exhibits the ability to collaboratively work within and across disciplines with a diverse instructional team.
  • Experience working with parents and community.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, classroom management, and adaptive teaching.
  • Growth-minded, receiving and incorporating feedback from team leaders, executive leadership, and peers.
