Job Title: Senior Climate Policy Analyst

Public Citizen is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Climate Policy Analyst to join our Climate Program. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advancing our policy development and advocacy efforts at the intersection of climate and financial regulation.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement policy proposals to advance a swift, safe transition away from fossil fuels and promote racial, economic, and intergenerational justice.
  • Advocate and testify before Congress and administrative agencies on climate-related issues.
  • Collaborate with other staff to develop plans to engage activists in influencing policy.
  • Represent Public Citizen in public forums and participate in coalitions.
  • Develop and maintain media relationships and respond to press inquiries.
  • Supervise interns and volunteers who work on climate and financial regulation.
Qualifications:
  • J.D. or other relevant advanced degree, as well as knowledge of financial services regulation and five years or more of relevant experience.
  • Passion for racial and economic justice.
  • Outstanding analytical thinking, judgment, and oral and written communication skills.
  • Independence and strong impulses toward self-starting and self-finishing.
  • Ability and eagerness to learn new, complex material quickly.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities, as well as execute planned strategy while reacting to new developments.
