Key Responsibilities:- Support the Programming & Budget and Acquisition Oversight branches within the SQXE division, focusing on NC3 (Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications) programs.
- Maintain and analyze planning, scheduling, and management data to inform decision-making.
- Review and provide recommendations on requirements, space acquisition strategies, program documentation, and program phase transition plans.
- Provide impartial assessments of approaching milestone decisions and prime Contractor technical and operational issues.
- Research and analyze program trends, identifying issues and developing courses of action.
- Make recommendations on funding allocation, program goals, objectives, and schedules.
- Track compliance with stated program direction and identify issues.
- Identify and research programmatic issues and tradeoffs in terms of required capabilities, costs, and schedules.
- Review and provide recommendations on existing and proposed DAF space acquisition and capability area policies and implementation.
- Review and evaluate the impact of national, DoD, JCS, and civil government policies and activities on DAF acquisition programs and capability areas.
- Maintain historical Air Force space program documentation and develop summary documents/briefings and training material.
- Provide short notice, quick-reaction analyses of critical programmatic issues.
- Prepare PPBE documentation to ensure accurate articulation of current program requirements.
- Monitor, analyze, and report Program Obligations and Expenditures.
- Monitor, analyze, and report program spend plans and status.
- Monitor, analyze, and report Available and Planned Program budgets and funding.
- Support the DAF Corporate review process and various Secretariat functions.
- Review and document MDR and FOIA requests.
- Review capability area analysis and compare current and programmed capabilities/scenarios.
- Monitor on-going studies, analyses, and developmental work relevant to space systems.
- Support program-specific acquisition-related efforts.
- Handle classified information, correspondence, and communications.
- Active Top Secret Clearance.
- Masters degree in a Business or Engineering discipline.
- 10 years of DOD acquisitions experience.
- NC3 program knowledge/experience highly desired.
- Familiarity with IDECS, PBES, CCaRs, CRIS, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel.
