Position Overview

The Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is seeking a skilled Project Controls Manager with a focus on Earned Value Management (EVM). This role is pivotal in overseeing cost management, scheduling, and financial data analysis for large-scale infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will work within the Project Management Office (PMO) and will be expected to demonstrate a strong command of EVM methodologies and project control tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and interpret earned value performance metrics, developing necessary corrective action strategies.
  • Supervise the status of schedule milestones and ensure data integrity.
  • Detect cost trends, generate reports, and conduct thorough analyses of project data.
  • Manage baseline change control protocols effectively.
  • Deliver project data insights during meetings and in formal reports.
  • Analyze actual cost data to inform future project estimates.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess a DOE Q-level security clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years in project controls, with at least 5 years specializing in EVM.
  • Proficient in project controls technical skills and relevant tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Familiarity with industry trends and EVM systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Project Management Professional or AACE.
  • Experience with Power BI and Accumen Fuse.

Security Clearance Requirement:

This role necessitates a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance.
