About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Manager to join our team at Pottery Barn. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing multiple product development projects from concept to launch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, merchandising, and sourcing, to develop and launch new products.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, schedules, and budgets for product development projects.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of components and materials.
  • Coordinate prototyping and testing to ensure product quality and manufacturability.
  • Develop and maintain bills of material and other documentation to support production activities.
  • Work with the inspection team to improve product quality and inspection criteria.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 2-6 years of experience in product development, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with World Class Manufacturing/Lean/Toyota Production System principles, TPM, 6S.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Dynamics and Autodesk Inventor or other solid modeling software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
