The Position

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting production needs by performing routine repairs of support equipment and maintenance of Alene Candles facilities. You will troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical/mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing areas.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair production and building support equipment, including automated, pneumatic, and hydraulic machinery.
  • Perform various types of facility maintenance, including basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Implement preventive maintenance and repair procedures to expedite timely repairs and reduce lost production time.
  • Maintain maintenance documentation for the equipment.
  • Use of welders, acetylene torches, and brazing or soldering equipment.
  • Maintain Alene standards of performance and comply with housekeeping, safety policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3 Years of Practical Experience OR Graduate of a Technical School with 1 year of experience.
  • PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong basic skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Preferred Skills
  • Past Maintenance experience.
  • Advanced PC knowledge.
  • Electrical experience as an electrical apprentice or higher.
  • Electrical controls knowledge, including PLC and basic controls wiring.
