Key Responsibilities
The Equipment Maintenance Specialist will:
  • Monitor and troubleshoot machinery to identify malfunctions, collaborating with supervisors and fellow maintenance personnel to resolve issues.
  • Install, maintain, and repair piping systems and associated hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Assemble and install electronic control systems for production machinery and related automated equipment.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with operators before and after repairs.
  • Engage with operators to diagnose, repair, and test equipment.
  • Report major repair needs to the Team Leader or Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Complete and submit work orders, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications
Education:
Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical school, or a combination of education and experience.
3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.

Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
  • Strong written communication skills for reporting and correspondence.
  • Proficiency in reading Electrical, Pneumatic, and Piping Schematics.
  • General knowledge of various trades with hands-on experience.
  • Competence in using standard mechanical hand tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and follow-up skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing setting, requiring adherence to safety protocols, including:
  • Use of safety glasses in all areas.
  • Steel-toe shoes in all operational zones.
