Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Admissions RN at ECHN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the nursing admission process, including patient assessments, medication reconciliation, and education.
  • Facilitate patient flow into acute care areas while ensuring compliance with epidemiological requirements.
  • Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients in the care of ECHN.
Requirements:
  • A current Registered Nurse license from the State of Connecticut is required.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Certification is highly desirable.
  • Five years of RN experience is required.
  • Six months of experience at ECHN in the role of an RN is highly preferred.
Competencies:
  • Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, are necessary.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
