Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the optometry staff to ensure high-quality patient care and services.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and departmental policies.
  • Develop and implement action plans to improve staff development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Manage day-to-day clinical practice standards, staffing, payroll, budgets, and fiscal management.
  • Investigate and resolve member concerns regarding patient care and services.
Requirements:
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as a practicing optometrist required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in managing professional staff required.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of optometry.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Optometrist License (California) and National Provider Identifier required at hire.
Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement, clinical care delivery processes, staffing, and budgeting. Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements. Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
