Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hospitality Leader to join our team at Pleasanton SpringHill Suites by Marriott. As an Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign duties to staff and observe performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures.
  • Provide training to all team members, including brand-specific training and safety training.
  • Select or assist in the selection of hotel staff and complete all new hire paperwork.
  • Review employee performance and conduct personnel actions, such as disciplinary actions and terminations.
  • Maintain accurate records, including cash flow sheets, direct bill accounts, credit card receipts, registration cards, reservations cards, direct bills, and credit cards.
  • Conduct or assist in conducting staff meetings.
  • Adhere to all franchise and company procedures and regulations, as well as standard operating procedures.
  • Receive and resolve or assist in resolving guest complaints and employee issues.
  • Perform functions of the General Manager in their absence.
  • Cover shifts in all departments as scheduled by the General Manager.
  • Correspond with group and travel agents to answer special requests for rooms and rates.
  • Assist with sales and marketing efforts as directed.
  • Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services.
  • Assist General Manager in annual wage scale surveys; ensure employee wages follow wage and salary guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Preferably 1+ year of similar experience in Select Service or Extended Stay properties.
  • Brand Experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in Inventories, Scheduling, and Ordering.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Open Availability.
  • Education Preferred of Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college, or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
