Job Title: Laboratory Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at Lovelace Biomedical Research Institute. As a Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising lower-level employees, performing and coordinating complex laboratory duties, and organizing and coordinating studies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train laboratory staff
  • Perform and coordinate complex laboratory duties
  • Organize and coordinate studies
  • Document laboratory work and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
  • Act as an internal subject matter expert and interact with clients to assist with study execution or resolution of study issues
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific area or comparable coursework
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong professional-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions:

The work is performed in a highly regulated environment, and compliance with documentation standards is required. The Laboratory Supervisor may work in close proximity to an environment containing research animals and may be required to work with or be in areas where hazardous materials and/or infectious agents are present.

Salary:

Salary is commensurate with experience.
