The Vice President of Regional Compliance is responsible for upholding the integrity and reputation of Allianz Popular SL within the region. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of compliance and ethical conduct in collaboration with management and business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee compliance with regulatory standards, sales practices, anti-financial crime measures, market integrity, and the code of conduct across all operational entities.
  • Aggregate and analyze compliance activities, preparing reports for the Audit Committee.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of compliance manuals and local, regional, and global policies.
  • Provide timely and reliable compliance advice to various stakeholders.
  • Conduct training and communication initiatives to promote compliance awareness.
  • Manage compliance-related investigations, particularly regarding potential breaches of conduct.
  • Support regional business functions in assessing compliance risks associated with new products and services.
  • Facilitate the exchange of best practices among compliance officers within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or Master's degree preferred.
  • Over 7 years of experience in compliance, legal, audit, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a compliance officer role within the financial sector.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and market dynamics in the insurance industry.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with all levels of the organization.
  • High integrity and a pragmatic approach to compliance issues.
