Host and Guest Experience Expert

Crooked Hammock Brewery is seeking a highly skilled Host and Guest Experience Expert to join our team. As a Host, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests, ensuring their needs are met, and providing exceptional service.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a perfect beach escape for our guests
- Be aware of guests' special needs, requests, and desires
- Share guests' requests, needs, likes, and dislikes with the rest of the team
- Welcome and greet guests, making them feel comfortable
- Be a guest recognition expert, getting to know our guests by name
- Be a guest satisfaction expert, feeling empowered to make our guests happy and relaxed
- Open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant
- Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible
- Seat guests based on their preferences and balancing customer flow in service stations
- Ensure tables are clean and properly set, clear, and reset tables when necessary
- Hand guests a menu and inform them of their server's name
- Pass messages to servers and kitchen as needed, supporting servers, kitchen, and management
- Give accurate wait times
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
- Answer the phone with an appropriate greeting, use the hold button, and proper tone of voice
- Take accurate messages and ensure they are received by management
- Complete opening and closing side-work and weekly cleaning duties
- Keep the hostess station neat and organized, stock necessary items, and maintain the front of the restaurant
- Be the hardest working member of the team, be a team player
- Maintain merchandise, track inventory, and sell and ring up merchandise
- Maintain knowledge of our products
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
- Live the brand and be a brand ambassador, making decisions in the best interest of the restaurant every time
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours)
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
