Job Description

The Lodge at Historic Lewes is seeking a skilled culinary professional to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food that meets the expectations of our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare food items using standardized recipes and cooking techniques.
  • Determine food and supply needs, and coordinate meal production with serving hours.
  • Monitor food temperatures, taste, and quality to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Prepare, portion, and serve food according to menu cycles and standardized recipes.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Practice safety and loss prevention procedures at all times.
  • Oversee food storage, checking labels and dates to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Complete cleaning duties and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Follow local, state, and federal policies regarding food handling and safety.
  • Assist with documentation of temperature logs and cleaning schedules.
  • Maintain food safety equipment records and temperature records.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or one to three months of related experience and/or training.
  • Certificates, licenses, and registrations required: Food Services Sanitation Certificate.
