Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Health Technician (Telehealth Clinical) in the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. This role requires a strong background in healthcare and experience with telehealth technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage telehealth technologies, including hardware and software, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff and patients on the use of telehealth technologies.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement reporting procedures to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support complex telehealth programs and prepare the clinical environment for examinations and treatments.
  • Serve as a telepresenter and imager for clinical video telehealth and store and forward telehealth encounters.
Requirements
  • One year of experience in a healthcare field, with a strong understanding of telehealth technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with administrative and professional staff.
  • Knowledge of quality control and assurance procedures, as well as proper maintenance and troubleshooting of telehealth equipment.
  • Ability to perform successful knowledge transfer regarding the use of telehealth technologies.
Preferred Experience

One year of direct patient care experience, with a strong background in telehealth technologies.

Physical Requirements

The work requires some physical exertion, including standing, bending, and lifting moderately heavy items. Travel between VA and/or Non-VA clinical care sites may be required.
