Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hydro Blasting Technician to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of physical tasks requiring strength and flexibility to handle, position, move, and manipulate equipment and materials. You will be responsible for operating high-pressure water blasting equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and contributing to site remediation and maintenance projects.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up hydro blasting equipment, including pumps and hoses, in accordance with operational guidelines and safety procedures.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all safety policies and practices, including the proper use of personal protective gear.
  • Work safely in industrial environments involving heavy machinery, loud noises, and potential hazards.
  • Manually clean, install, repair, and maintain valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and other equipment on tanks.
  • Inspect equipment, hoses, connections, pumps, and work areas before commencing any job. Report any deficiencies to your supervisor that could lead to accidents, injuries, or productivity loss.

Qualifications

  • TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Card) is preferred.
  • Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic safety training skills are essential.
  • Hydro blasting or pressure cleaning experience is beneficial but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
  • General labor experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Physically able to stand, walk, climb, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel for extended periods.
