Cannabis Post-Harvest Technician

Verilife is a leading provider in the cannabis industry, operating state-of-the-art facilities dedicated to the production and retail of cannabis products. We are expanding our team and seeking motivated individuals to join us in our mission to provide high-quality products to our customers.

The Post-Harvest (Trim) Technician plays a crucial role in preparing our products for subsequent processing stages. This position requires effective communication with Trim Supervisors and team members to accomplish daily objectives. The primary focus is to meet productivity targets while ensuring product quality and adhering to compliance standards. The Technician is expected to follow established procedures, take direction from supervisors, and uphold the highest levels of professionalism and compliance.

Compensation for this position is set at $18.29 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow instructions and guidance from supervisors to meet individual and team production and quality goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Work efficiently to enhance productivity.
  • Foster a culture of professionalism within the team.
  • Ensure that each plant is properly tagged with accurate information and assigned trimmer numbers.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures for trimming, sequencing, and handling of plants and materials.
  • Perform additional duties as required, including assisting other departments with tasks such as post-trim, harvesting, packaging, and cleaning.

Workspace Maintenance

  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of workstations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the Trim production area.
  • Participate in regular cleaning and maintenance activities.
  • Conduct routine cleaning of tools and equipment.

Compliance and Safety

  • Follow all work procedures and safety requirements.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with regulations.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws.

Work Environment

  • Comply with safety protocols, including proper lifting and bending techniques.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the facility.
  • Cultivate a positive work atmosphere.
  • Wear appropriate protective gear when handling plants and products.
  • Remove protective clothing before leaving the facility.

Supervision

  • Work under the direct supervision of the Trim Manager and Supervisors.
  • May assist in training but does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Expectations

  • Maintain a positive attitude towards colleagues and supervisors.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and diligence to meet production goals.
  • Exhibit regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Focus on tasks and dedication to quality work.
  • Work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 7:30 AM to 6:15 PM, with the possibility of extended hours.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience in a fast-paced production environment is preferred.
  • Proven ability to meet productivity and performance standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of trimming processes is advantageous.
  • Must obtain necessary work credentials from relevant authorities.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to use tools and equipment while standing or sitting for extended periods.
  • Capability to navigate a typical office and production environment.
  • Physical ability to kneel, bend, reach, and lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
