Schedule:
Sundays- Wednesdays (6 am- 5 pm)

The Horticulture Technician is tasked with overseeing the comprehensive care of plants throughout their growth stages. This role involves daily monitoring and nurturing of plants from the initial transplant phase until the time of harvest.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conducts various horticultural activities such as transplanting, nutrient application, leaf trimming, plant shaping, flushing, foliar nutrition, preventive treatments, waste management, crop evaluation, and preparation for harvest.
2. Observes and documents environmental conditions including humidity, temperature, and CO2 concentrations.
3. Inspects plants for signs of pests and diseases.
4. Prepares nutrient solutions for plant feeding and maintains accurate records of related data.
5. Performs sampling and testing of water, media, and solutions.
6. Keeps detailed logs of daily activities and operational tasks.
7. Ensures a clean and sanitized work environment through regular cleaning and organization of workspaces.
8. Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational background.
2. Must possess or obtain a relevant Employee Badge.
3. Strong communication abilities.
4. Basic organizational and time management skills.
5. Fundamental mathematical skills.
6. Knowledge of metric and standard measurement systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Familiarity with compliance regulations related to cannabis cultivation.
2. Understanding of cannabis nutrient needs, growing mediums, lighting, environmental conditions, soil cultivation methods, irrigation systems, and temperature and humidity management.
3. Knowledge of beneficial and harmful microorganisms, plant diseases, insects, fungi, and effective cultivation management techniques.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
2. Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
3. Proficiency in various physical activities including sitting, standing, bending, stretching, walking, twisting, reaching, and repetitive motions.
4. Competence in safely handling and storing chemicals such as pesticides, fungicides, cleaning agents, and nutrient solutions in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and standard operating procedures.

COMPENSATION DETAILS:

Pay:
$18.50-$18.90; actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications.
Accrue paid time off (PTO) immediately, starting at 2 weeks per year.
Health, dental, vision, life, disability, accident, and critical illness insurance plans are available.
Retirement plans are accessible after 6 months of employment.
