The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in overseeing general accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions. This includes reconciling account balances, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare various monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Review and analyze general ledger account balances on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP principles.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of complex business processes and understand their impact on transactional systems and related accounting.
  • Prepare and/or review journal entries to support accurate and timely accounting month-end close, including reviewing transactional sources and verification of system interfaces where applicable.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis for executive management to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present results to stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function.
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Participate in financial standards setting and forecast process.
  • Prepare financial statements and ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in the Accounting field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Strong result orientation, proactivity, self-motivation, and ownership.
  • Well-organized with ability to prioritize, ensure accuracy, and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and regulations.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Commitment to continuous self, team, and process improvement.
