About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Professional Development Specialist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our clinical development team, you will play a critical role in advancing the practice of nursing and improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based educational programs to address identified knowledge, skill, and practice gaps in nursing practice.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and deliver educational initiatives that promote quality patient care and improve health outcomes.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify areas for improvement in nursing practice and develop targeted educational interventions to address these gaps.
  • Utilize adult learning principles and theories to design educational programs that meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with healthcare organizations and community groups to enhance healthcare through interprofessional initiatives.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a clinical nursing role with a focus on adult teaching or training, and/or developing educational programs.
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) certification or Nursing Professional Development (RN-BC) certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
