Job Summary:

The County of Hanover Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Training and Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will work directly with individuals who have developmental disabilities and/or a mental health diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement training programs to support individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses.
  • Collaborate with our team to provide support services and ensure a high level of care for our clients.
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Provide training and education to staff members on best practices and new developments in the field.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as psychology, education, or social work.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
