Position Summary

Seminole Hard Rock Support Services is dedicated to delivering exceptional Information Technology Services for Seminole Gaming and Hard Rock International, along with their affiliates and franchisees.

The role of Systems Administrator II – Windows Server Management entails providing second-tier support for all facets of the Microsoft Server operating system. This position is crucial for ensuring the stability and reliability of an extensive server environment comprising approximately 5500 servers.

The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting enterprise-level server systems, both physical and virtual. This includes troubleshooting and resolving service disruptions while adhering to the Service Now incident management system within established service level agreements (SLAs). Key areas of focus encompass Windows Server OS support and configuration, server patch management utilizing Ivanti Shavlik, Exchange/M365 administration, Azure VM support, SolarWinds monitoring, SQL Server support, Veeam Backup/Restore, and Active Directory management.


Key Responsibilities


• Operate under the guidance of the Director of IT Operations.

• Strategically plan and schedule tasks to fulfill assignments from management or senior engineering personnel.

• Engage in regular discussions with management or senior staff to review progress, seek assistance on complex issues, and celebrate achievements.

• Support IT Service Technicians in delivering third-level support across the enterprise.

• Collaborate with systems assurance, application development, and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain the technological infrastructure.

• Assume technical responsibility for assigned equipment and technologies.

• Assist in the analysis, design, and development of innovative technology solutions.

• Document design, implementation, and configuration findings for both new and existing technologies.

• Facilitate systems demonstrations.

• Analyze technical issues, review relevant literature, and assess existing technologies.

• Escalate unresolved issues to vendors or senior management for resolution.

• Develop monitoring systems to manage global infrastructure effectively.

• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the strategic product mix and vendor selections.

• Open problem reporting tickets and utilize all problem tracking software systems accurately.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to the Company's Policies and Procedures.

• Provide comprehensive server support for Windows Server environments.

• Execute server patch management using Ivanti Shavlik.

• Collaborate with application teams to assist with modifications, patches, and service packs to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Configure and manage patching schedules, change management processes, and customer communications.

• Fully support a dynamic server farm consisting of Domain Controllers, File and Print servers, SQL, Application, and Web Servers.

• Work collaboratively with Technical Staff and Management in a fast-paced environment to identify, isolate, and resolve hardware and software issues during testing phases.

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all systems deployed within the enterprise.

• Analyze technical problems, review relevant literature, and assess existing technologies.

• Escalate unresolved issues to vendors or senior management for resolution.


Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent training and experience is preferred.
  • 4 to 7 years of relevant application and/or IT operations experience is required.
  • Demonstrated experience and success in a similar role within an organization of comparable scope and size.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in VMware and Microsoft server operating systems is required.
  • Willingness to travel to remote sites as necessary to support operations.
  • Fluency in the English language is mandatory.
  • Compliance with internal controls is essential.
  • Excellent collaboration skills are necessary.
