At Comfort Inn of Livonia, we're seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented Guest Services/Hotel Front Desk Agent to join our dynamic team. About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless check-ins, handling guest transactions efficiently, and providing unparalleled support to both internal and external teams. As a valued member of our front office staff, you'll work closely with the Assistant Manager and collaborate with other departments to achieve outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Check-in and Transactions: Ensure accurate information is collected, special requests are noted, and all payment methods are handled professionally.
  • Internal Communication: Collaborate with departments to address VIP needs, provide essential information, and ensure smooth operations.
  • Amenity Knowledge and Promotion: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel amenities, special events, and promotional packages to effectively promote and sell them to guests.
  • Team Collaboration: Interact with colleagues in a professional manner, assist with necessary information, and contribute to a positive working environment.
  • Emergency Procedures and Policies: Stay informed about emergency procedures and hotel policies to ensure prompt action when required.
  • Cash Handling and Credit Transactions: Handle all credit and currency transactions according to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Information Sharing: Communicate relevant details to Department Managers and Supervisors as needed.
  • Posting, Charges, Deposits, and Refunds: Follow established procedures for posting charges, handling cash, deposits, and refunds.
  • Guest Feedback: Solicit feedback through appropriate review sites to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Phone Support: Answer calls professionally, assist with reservations, and provide directions to the property.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Primary Language Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mathematical Proficiency: Basic math skills for computations and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Cash Handling Experience: Previous experience handling cash preferred.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities, problem-solving skills, and effective communication.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous Hospitality Experience: Prior experience in hospitality/hotel settings a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer competitive compensation based on experience, ranging from $35,000 to over $50,000 per year. Additionally, our comprehensive benefit package includes:
