Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Tech to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Radiology Tech, you will be responsible for performing x-ray exams, preparing examination rooms, and administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform x-ray exams for inpatient, emergency room, and operating room service lines.
  • Prepare examination rooms for patient examinations, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Position patients and equipment, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Insert commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences, and monitor video displays to adjust density or contrast.
  • Monitor patients during examinations, ensuring their safety and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
  • Produce diagnostic images, report important information to physicians, and update patient records.
  • Organize daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitor radiographic supplies.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) Certification.
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Passionate about patient care.
  • BLS Provider American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech program.
  • Minimum three years of Radiology Tech experience.
  • Active unencumbered Texas RN state license.

  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
  • A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
