About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Department Manager to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our radiology department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Departmental Operations: Manage the daily operations of the radiology department, including planning, implementing, and monitoring patient care services.
  • Quality Assurance: Assess the quality of patient care and coordinate services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
  • Staff Management: Manage staff relations, including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict resolution. Oversee scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the monitoring of departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local agencies, including Joint Commission, ACR, JRCERT, ICAVL, and all regulatory agencies.
  • Productivity and Supply Management: Maintain established productivity standards and supply expense metrics. Accountable for monthly reporting of departmental variances, budget, FTE, and expense variances with associated action plans.
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following: Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, Registered Vascular Specialist, Registered Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer, or Advanced Cardiac Sonographer also accepted.
  • Education: High school diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 2 years of experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required. 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
