If you are selected for this position, the franchisee will be your employer, not McDonald's USA. The franchisee is solely accountable for all employment-related matters at the restaurant, including hiring, termination, disciplinary actions, oversight, staffing, and employee scheduling.

McDonald's USA does not have any influence over employment decisions at the restaurant, nor will it receive a copy of your employment application.

Role of the General Manager
The General Manager is tasked with overseeing a profitable restaurant while ensuring adherence to McDonald's high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.

These expectations are rigorous, making this a significant role. The General Manager collaborates with their superior to establish the restaurant's objectives and devises a strategy to meet those goals.

To achieve these targets, the General Manager leads a team of Department Managers, each responsible for specific areas within the restaurant. This involves assisting Department Managers in setting their own objectives, monitoring their progress, and providing coaching to enhance departmental performance.

By strengthening the departments, the overall restaurant performance improves.

The General Manager may also be involved in recruiting and developing Department and Shift Managers to ensure the restaurant has a capable team for future success.

Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates should possess prior experience as a General Manager in high-volume establishments. A background in quick-service restaurants is highly preferred, along with experience in hospitality or retail sectors. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to hold a managerial position in our corporate-owned restaurants.
