Ferretti Search is partnering with a prominent manufacturer to find a skilled Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Engineering Department Management:

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient performance and resolving issues.
  • Attend production meetings, provide status updates, and support product launches.
  • Supervise Engineering Masters development and maintenance.
  • Represent the engineering department during on-site client visits.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Manage the department's budget, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate workload, ensuring tasks are scheduled and hours are utilized effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with directory structures and organizational protocols.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Cross-train employees to ensure coverage across critical functions.
  • Set performance goals and monitor progress.
  • Lead employee development initiatives, including skill development and leadership.
  • Foster a positive working environment, promoting strong relationships within the team and across departments.

Process Improvement and Compliance:

  • Monitor machining times to ensure alignment with quoted estimates.
  • Proactively manage and improve existing programs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee setup and teardown documentation creation and maintenance.
  • Act as the primary engineering contact for operations support.

Project Management and Collaboration:

  • Manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of department projects.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, and Manufacturing departments to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Support the manufacturing process as needed.

**Requirements:**

Industry Experience:

  • Must have fastener experience and knowledge of metalworking and manufacturing processes.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD (SolidWorks), and CAM software.
  • Ability to develop and modify work instructions.

Leadership and Communication Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor team members.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, adaptable to all organizational levels.

Organizational and Problem-Solving Abilities:

  • Highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on process improvement.
