Position Overview:

The Apartment Maintenance Technician is a vital role within each Redwood Neighborhood, responsible for the upkeep and general maintenance of facilities, buildings, and equipment. This position also includes groundskeeping tasks. Daily activities involve using various power tools, executing unit turns, and troubleshooting appliances.

Customer service is a key component of this role, requiring effective communication with residents and team members. The technician is expected to embody the Redwood ambassador spirit, ensuring a positive experience for both employees and residents. Technicians will enter residents' homes to complete work orders, handling repairs and communications in a manner that prioritizes resident satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance and repairs on facilities, buildings, and grounds as directed through work orders:

  • Swiftly and professionally prepare vacated apartment homes for new residents
  • Conduct minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall tasks
  • Address minor plumbing issues, including clearing drains and repairing toilets
  • Service kitchen appliances, washers, dryers, and address garage issues as needed
  • Participate in emergency maintenance as part of an on-call schedule
  • Adhere to safety standards at all times
  • Manage snow removal tasks
  • Complete all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of general maintenance experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HVAC Certification
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience in apartment maintenance
  • Proficiency in using smartphones, tablets, and computers

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that require sitting, standing, bending, and walking

Compensation details: $23-$25 Hourly Wage
