Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Claims Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining patient billing files, ensuring accurate and clean claim submission.

The ideal candidate will have experience with PC's and be familiar with common office software, such as Microsoft Office and spreadsheets. They must also be able to communicate articulately and comprehend written and verbal communications.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $22 - $28 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include health insurance, earned time off, and 401(k) plan with company match.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain patient billing files
• Participate in the quality program (IOP)
• Review and edit claims prior to billing to ensure accurate and clean claim submission
• Meet all billing and accounts receivable deadlines
• Follow-up with payers on open dates of service for payments, denials and resubmission of claims, if necessary
• Document all accounts receivable follow-up and maintain in patient billing file
