Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Access and Assessment Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral and Mental Health team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of behavioral health patients across our system.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expertise in behavioral and medical needs assessment for behavioral health patients, identifying placement barriers and recommending the most appropriate treatment setting.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders systemwide to support efficient behavioral health throughput, from admission to discharge.
  • Develop and implement data-driven solutions to improve access and disposition planning, working closely with the MGB BMH leadership team.
  • Lead change management efforts, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation across the system.
  • Work closely with clinical leaders to monitor and analyze data related to central access and disposition planning, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Massachusetts.
  • 5 years of experience in inpatient psychiatry unit and/or emergency department, with a minimum of 5 years of nurse leader experience.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with an attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Experience with data analytics and project management, with a strong interest in hospital-wide and other asset-based capacity challenges.
