Job Description

Connecticut State Community College seeks a highly qualified individual to serve as the Director of Advanced Manufacturing Technology. This is a tenure-track position responsible for the development and delivery of degree and certificate programs in advanced manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement academic programs in advanced manufacturing, including curriculum design and industry accreditation.
  • Recruit and supervise instructors and staff, providing opportunities for professional development.
  • Ensure instructional quality and student learning outcomes.
  • Manage program budgets and resources, including facilities and equipment.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a related field and 2-5 years of management experience, or a bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience, or an associate's degree and 7-10 years of experience.
  • Proven ability to work with diverse populations and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with industry accreditation and program evaluation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Well-developed connections to manufacturing companies and experience with program marketing.
  • Experience with credit and non-credit program curriculum and scheduling.
