We are seeking an exceptional Maintenance Technician - Multifamily Property Specialist to join our team at New Standard Equities, a leading vertically integrated real estate investment management firm. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the overall condition of our apartment communities and providing a quality living environment for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair maintenance issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to residents.
  • Maintain the overall condition of the apartment community, including grounds, common areas, and amenities.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities to prevent equipment failures and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless communication and effective problem-solving.
  • Assist with unit turns, move-outs, and apartment inspections as needed.
  • Apply knowledge of building operating systems to perform maintenance and repairs.
  • Comply with company standards and applicable laws, including safety regulations.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations during work hours and on-call coverage.
  • Support cost-saving initiatives by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two to four years of related experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance necessary.
  • Relevant certifications (EPA, HVAC, CPO) a plus.
  • Bi-lingual skills desirable.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to provide excellent resident experience.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, flooring, appliance, landscaping, and irrigation systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
