Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in maintaining the overall condition of our apartment communities, including grounds and common areas. This position requires a customer service-focused individual who can diagnose maintenance issues, make repairs, and complete maintenance requests in a timely manner. Successful candidates will be responsive to resident and team member needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This role involves performing maintenance duties, including work orders and preventative maintenance activities, with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will ensure apartments are ready for occupancy by performing various electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and other miscellaneous maintenance and repairs as needed. Additionally, they will maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash, vacuuming, mopping, pressure washing, and general cleaning as directed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; two to four years of related experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance
- Relevant certifications (EPA, HVAC, CPO) a plus
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Bilingualism a plus
Salary and Benefits:
