Ochsner Clinic Foundation Job Opportunity

This role is pivotal in executing assessments on patients and performing standard CT imaging procedures while ensuring compliance with radiation safety measures. Moreover, this position includes the responsibility of guiding and mentoring junior personnel and students within a clinical environment.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Preferred background in CT imaging
  • Must hold registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or be certified in computed tomography (CT)
  • Advanced certification in CT is mandatory, along with a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Proficient in computer applications and data management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Understanding of CT imaging protocols and technical terminology
  • Capability to work autonomously and manage pressure effectively
  • Adaptability in job responsibilities and working hours

Core Responsibilities

  • Confirming physician orders and imaging procedures
  • Utilizing equipment to perform imaging tasks
  • Conducting quality control checks in line with regulatory standards
  • Supporting departmental functions and patient care initiatives

Physical Requirements

  • Medium work involving exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force
  • Requires manual dexterity and the ability to stand for extended periods
  • Working in patient care settings with potential exposure to infectious diseases
