Clinical Operations Supervisor (Registered Nurse) - Georgia

Compensation:

  • $90,000 - $95,000 per year DOE

Overview: Nexus HR is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as a Clinical Operations Supervisor for a well-respected, locally owned hospice organization, providing services across multiple counties within the metropolitan Atlanta area.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering Hospice care to terminally ill patients around the clock, with on-call duties at least once a month.

About The Role

The Clinical Operations Supervisor will collaborate with the Hospice team to ensure comprehensive care for patients and their families in various environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of interdisciplinary interventions.
  • Assign patient/family cases to appropriate team members.
  • Lead regular interdisciplinary meetings for care plan development, review, and problem-solving.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to management discussions regarding service delivery and staff development.
  • Supervise the accuracy and compliance of medical records.
  • Provide guidance to support and administrative staff in collaboration with management.
  • Oversee clinical supervision of nursing staff, Hospice Aides, and Homemakers.
  • Conduct supervisory visits to evaluate team performance.
  • Assist in staff performance evaluations in partnership with management.
  • Encourage professional development among nursing personnel.
  • Identify educational needs and support the creation of training programs.
  • Participate in establishing standards for safe and effective patient care.
  • Collaborate with the Administrator to determine staffing needs and patterns.
  • Manage recruitment, hiring, evaluation, and termination of personnel.
  • Facilitate orientation for new employees and conduct training sessions.
  • Maintain current policies and procedures to meet regulatory standards.
  • Promote adherence to policies and procedures while fostering an environment for constructive feedback.
  • Define roles and responsibilities within the team to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Ensure ongoing assessment of patient/family needs and implementation of care plans.
  • Coordinate with physicians for continuity of care.
  • Provide support for staff regarding job-related stress or concerns.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with community agencies.
  • Model professionalism and high standards of conduct for colleagues.
  • Safeguard patient confidentiality and information.
  • Commit to regular attendance and fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Act as a resource for team members.
  • Engage with physicians to maintain effective working relationships.
  • Report any issues affecting patient care or safety.
  • Participate in continuing education and share knowledge with staff.
  • Collaborate with the Administrator on budgetary needs and resource allocation.
  • Monitor equipment usage and ensure proper handling.
  • Oversee the Quality Assessment/Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call coverage.

Qualifications:
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Georgia.
  • Preferred two years of experience in hospice or home health.
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Must provide proof of annual TB test and other state-required examinations.
  • Reliable transportation with appropriate insurance.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Able to work in two locations within the metropolitan area.
