INFORMATION SECURITY ARCHITECT (Technical Services Management)

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?


The Information Security Architect is pivotal in the Information Security initiative, tasked with steering and supervising the development and execution of the bank's comprehensive security framework.

This role serves as a trusted consultant to senior IT management, ensuring that IT solutions adhere to secure design principles and that security is integrated into all enterprise IT architectural frameworks and strategies.

The architect will spearhead the identification and selection of enterprise security solutions to realize the security architectural vision. Responsibilities include creating conceptual and technical design documents with a focus on long-term technology planning. The architect will also assess enterprise IT designs for their conformity with the enterprise security architecture.

The Information Security Architect possesses extensive expertise across various security and non-security technology platforms, capable of both leading and advising on the overall designs and strategies of both security and non-security technologies.

In addition to being a master of security platforms in multiple areas (SEIM, IDS/IPS, firewall/WAF, access and identity, malware defense, among others), the architect is formally educated in enterprise IT design and architecture methodologies.

The Information Security Architect may participate as a voting member of the Technology Review Board (TRB), collaborating with peer IT architecture specialists to evaluate the overall suitability and quality of proposed designs within the broader IT landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create high-level conceptual and logical security architecture plans, roadmaps, and designs for the security technology portfolio.
  • Consult, advise, or oversee the secure design of critical IT system and infrastructure projects to ensure alignment with enterprise security architecture.
  • Provide thought leadership for significant IT implementation decisions.
  • Forecast enterprise technology investment requirements for 1-3 years in accordance with security architecture roadmaps.
  • Prepare architectural designs and strategies for essential security investments as needed.
  • Lead the evaluation of enterprise security technology platforms and products.
  • Engage with key external vendors and partners to identify innovative solutions, stay updated on emerging security and technology trends, and promote proof-of-concept trials of promising innovative solutions.


Technical Services Management will oversee governance regarding cyber controls delivered to the organization, interfacing with stakeholders on technical controls as necessary for alignment, education, escalations, monitoring of technical control KRIs, and alignment on technical roadmaps and transformation.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Information/Cyber Security domain.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a lead engineer, engineering manager, or enterprise IT solutions architect.

Compensation

Starting base salary:
$127,626 - $237,014 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
