The Boeing Company is seeking Manufacturing Helpers to support operations within the production environment.
In this role, employees will assist various job functions, including but not limited to, spray painting, sanding, and handling production components. Responsibilities include preparing parts for production processes, such as masking and sanding, as well as managing the loading and unloading of components before and after processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the work area to identify tasks or receive assignments from supervisors.
- Review work orders and technical drawings to understand required tasks.
- Utilize online systems to access manufacturing drawings and specifications as needed.
- Prepare parts for processing by removing protective coverings and ensuring surfaces are ready for marking or painting.
- Measure parts accurately to ensure correct placement for markings.
- Apply protective finishes to parts prior to marking.
- Operate and maintain marking equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
- Collaborate with team leads and other personnel to confirm masking requirements.
- Apply various types of masking materials to safeguard finishes.
- Assist in the preparation and handling of parts for painting and sanding operations.
- Support the anodizing process by managing the loading and unloading of parts.
- Utilize hand tools to protect threaded areas of parts during processing.
- Conduct rework as necessary and verify the quality of completed tasks.
- Count and prepare finished parts for subsequent operations.
- Input completed job data into the manufacturing system as required.
Work Environment:
This position is expected to be performed entirely onsite.
Compliance Requirements:
Candidates must meet specific export control compliance standards.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience with basic arithmetic skills.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 35 pounds.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
- Experience with reading and interpreting technical documents.
Education:
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
