Market Director of Human Resources

As a key member of the Human Resources organization, you will contribute a high level of human resource generalist knowledge and expertise to drive business success in a market. Your role will involve talent acquisition, succession planning, performance management, and development for property employees, leveraging technology efficiently and coaching/developing others to execute brand/business service strategy/initiatives and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies across properties to deliver products and services that meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand's target customer and property employees.
- Partner with property management to hire and train Human Resources staff members who demonstrate strong functional expertise, creativity, and leadership.
- Lead the planning of the hourly employee total compensation strategy and champion the communication and proper use of total compensation systems, tools, programs, policies, etc.
- Prepare, analyze, and distribute results of Internal Equity and Comp Ratio reports and document and provide input on any out-of-guidelines management compensation adjustments for regional approval.
- Drive implementation of total compensation management packages/offers, particularly recognition and incentive programs directed towards property priorities.
- Collaborate with Work Environment Manager to verify that work environment-related activities are completed and issues are addressed.
- Verify the completion of duties and responsibilities of the properties' Human Resources staff members, as outlined in applicable job description(s).
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related major; 4 years experience in the human resources, management operations, or related professional area.
- 4-year bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the human resources, management operations, or related professional area.
Marriott offers a competitive salary range of $145,000 to $185,000 annually, a bonus program, comprehensive health care benefits, 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match, employee stock purchase plan at 15% discount, accrued paid time off (including sick leave where applicable), life insurance, group disability insurance, travel discounts, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, health savings account (except for positions based out of or performed in Hawaii), flexible spending accounts, tuition assistance, pre-tax commuter benefits, other life and work wellness benefits, and may include other incentives such as stock awards and deferred compensation plans.
Benefits and incentive compensation may be subject to generally applicable eligibility, waiting period, contribution, and other requirements and conditions.
